How much is shipping?

Shipping within New Zealand and Australia is FREE. Orders are dispatched via airmail. Orders with a value of $250 or greater will require a signature so you may wish to give a work address for delivery. For shipping quotes to countires outside NZ and Australia please contact us orders@nudeyrudey.co.nz

How long will it take before my order arrives?

As soon as payment clears your order can be dispatched. Within New Zealand targets are approximately 3 working days. Within Australia targets are 3-10 working days depending on how far across Australia your order will need to travel.

Where are Nudey!Rudey! products made?

Nudey!Rudey! products are made in Christchurch, New Zealand. Following the devastating Earthquakes we've been experiencing we doubled our commitment to supporting other local companies.  Our products are designed in-house and made by small local home based businesses.  Our experienced sewists, cutters and snappers control their own working hours and environments while running their own small business based around making Nudey!Rudey! products.  

Are Nudey!Rudey! products guaranteed?

All Nudey!Rudey! products are guaranteed against workmanship faults within 6 months of ordering.

Nudey!Rudey! cloth nappies are guaranteed against workmanship faults for 6 months from ordering.  This covers stitching, seams, elastic, inconsistent sizing, defective fabric and snaps.  This does not cover wear and tear, worn or ripped fabric, damage from laundry products or residue from nappy creams or laundry powders/liquid.

Can I return products?

Unused products in perfect condition may be returned within 6 weeks of ordering.  Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer and any shipping charges incurred by Nudey!Rudey! will be deducted from the refund.  For workmanship faults please see our policy above.

My Baby is a newborn, when will the nappies fit?

Nudey!Rudey! cloth nappies are designed to fit from approximately 5 kg, or around 8 weeks old.  The reason they were designed for this size baby is that it's at this time that a 3-4 hourly feeding and changing routine has fallen into place.  Babies go through a LOT more nappies every day of the first few weeks while they settle into life on Earth and this also gives the baby a chance to unfurl and fatten up a bit and the the new parents a chance to catch their breath.

Is it a lot of work to use cloth nappies?

No!!!  Using cloth means there are no extra trips to the supermarket (or late night garage) when you run out, there's no traipsing out to the outside bin everytime you change a nappy, far less nappy rash to deal with, less bags of rubbish to go to the curbside or dump and a much more comfy baby!

I'm having twins, can I still use cloth nappies?

Absolutely!  We have many happy parents of multiples using our nappies, and saving a fortune in the process.  Feel free to stop by our Facebook page to chat to other parents and see all the lovely pictures of babies wearing their Nudey!Rudey!, including some twins! I've seen cheaper nappies, why should I buy Nudey!Rudey! cloth nappies?

There are many cheaper brands on the market.  They are several ways you can cut costs in manufacturing and selling cloth nappies. You can use inferior materials, you can get them sewn by children or adults for a very low wage, you can rip off someone else's design, you can import them and sell them to the public at wholesale prices via a Facebook shop or online auction site and avoid many business expenses like liability insurance, advertising, paying living wages to adults and paying yourself a wage.

Nudey!Rudey! isn't about those things, and never will be. We do things differently here, and we're proud of it.  We have made a commitment to paying living wages to contractors and ourselves.  We use the very best materials on the market, after thoroughly testing them ourselves.  We spent months perfecting our original design and we are serious about manufacturing and promoting our products and our brand. Sure, none of these ideals come cheap but they pay for themselves in the long run by enabling us to make products that are effective, reliable, lasting and environmentally conscious.  Our conscience is clear and you can be sure when you buy Nudey!Rudey! products that you are making an investment in quality and reliability from a company that takes it's commitment to you and your baby seriously.

I'm buying the nappies as a gift.  Will you giftwrap them?

All our nappies go out gift wrapped.  We work hard to use attractive materials that you can re-use and/or recycle.  Each order is wrapped in tissue and secured with baker's twine before being shipped in a weather proof post bag or box.

You say you care about the environment, what about the packaging you use?

All our packaging is recycleable, and most of it is re-useable.  We don't tape our tissue wrapping so it can be used again for future gifts, you can re-use our baker's twine too.  If you have a suggestion of how we can improve our performance please be in touch.  Or if you have a great idea of how people can re-use our packaging we'd love you to share it on our Facebook page.
